October is also a great moment to enjoy dates.
During our trip to the desert, we crossed many date farms and most of the trees had rip fruits. There is many different types of dates: longer, smaller, darker, juicy or dry, … But all are delicious, it is hard to find a favorite.
However, I did try there something hard to find in most countries: fresh dates. They have more of an orangy color and unlike the dry ones they are crispy – yes, CRYSPY –
They are also already very sweet and delicious.
If you get a chance to go to Zagora during the month of October or November, don’t miss your chance and try some directly from the tree. You can find it pretty much everywhere and you can buy a box of at least a kilo for nothing 10 to 20 dirhams.
