Refreshing Moroccan orange salad

Sometimes, the simplest things are the best ones.
Trust me, there is nothing better on a hot day than a fresh and flavorful orange salad.

Here is a great traditional Moroccan recipe :

 -> Moroccan Orange Salad
-> Moroccan Orange Salad

For 4 people in a hot and sunny afternoon (or Brunch!)
– 4 juicy oranges
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water *optional*
– 4 fresh mint leaves *optional*

Start by cutting off the oranges skin. Then slice them. The thiner the slices will be the sweeter they will get. I like mines medium thick so I can still feel and bite the orange. You can now arrange nicely in a plate the slices.
Lets make a sirup now: If you honey is hard or thick, add just a little water in order to get a consistency that you like, and warm it up. At this stage, you can add the orange blossom water is you have it and pore it immediately on the top of the oranges.
Finally sprinkle some grounded cinnamon on the top of it and some minced mint leave if you want to add more freshness. Otherwise, you can also use the mint leaves just to decorate the plate.
Let it cool now for at least an hour in the fridge or until the next day if you want.

Enjoy fresh!
